2013 XC60 R Gas mileage drop
2013 XC60 R Gas mileage drop
I have a 2013 R design xc60 with 41,000 miles. once I reached 35,000 miles my gas mileage went from 23-24 mpg to 18.5 mpg. No matter how conservatively I drive it wont go above 18.5. Any idea on what it might be?

No light or message center display? I would guess front oxygen sensor, but without a message it's not certain. Also, the mileage is low for this to fail.

Also -> Amazon link. Click that when you go to buy something on Amazon and MVS gets a cut!

I'd take it in. It's under warranty. See what the dealer says.

Good thinking ^
Here too. There is a measurable difference between low and high grade with my '97 850.

What, if anything, has been done to find this problem?
Lots of things that do not cause codes to set can make MPG poor.
Do you know it is going into 6th gear above 45 (+/-) on level ground light throttle?
Has air filter been checked?
Were tires replaced at 35K miles?

Can you go to a different Volvo dealer? Not finding the issue it's not an acceptable answer.
I guess the DIM shows the gas mileage, so the dealer must solve the issue. Without a doubt, there is a failed sensor.
You can check on https://local.google.com/ for New Jersey Volvo, see who's better rated. I've read more than once on forums about how crappy are Volvo dealers in your area.
