If I try to open my driver's door with the key, the door re locks. If I hold the key in the open position and pull the door open then the alarm sounds as it should. System works fine with the remote.
Is this as simple as a linkage adjustment issue or something more sinister in the electronics sent to torment me?
My 850 also has other issues sent to torment me: The transmission won't change gear over 9,000 feet elevation. Just sticks in whatever gear it was in when it passes the 9,000 ft point!
But I love it!

The door problem you describe is normally due to a bad sensor switch in the lock assembly but it is curious that it works OK with the remote but not the key. There is a yellow plastic tab inside the latch that has a nasty habit of breaking and causing locking problems.
