1990 740gl sunroof tilt wont lock

I took my sunroof out to do a headliner replacement on my 740 wagon. Unfortunatly during the process I've gotten it all sorts of screwed up . Problem is when its all the way back and i try to crank it forward one side wants to tilt up, and no matter how much i re-index the roof i cant get it to lock down. Anyone know if there's an adjustment or a way to force the roof to lock?
