What / where is the flame trap and how do you clean it / replace it?

it is like a pcv valve on other cars if it gets clogged it will pressurize the engine and blow oil out everywhere sometimes blowing out the oil seals. If you have an 88 up it is between the 3&4 intake runner on top. If you have an earlier vehicle in is under the intake manifold. the little plastic holder breaks easily so be careful. You can buy the holder and flame trap from www.fpcgroton.com for very little money
