Anything can be done given enough time, money, and creativity however there are numerous differences in the '04 engine and the '95 engine you now have that really make it unpractical. For starters, the entire accessory mounting system is totally different and it would need to be modified.

The '04 engine is a CVVT engine which would be eliminated with the head change but I'm not sure if the passages on the 5254T2 mate up correctly with a 2.3 head or not. Even if the head does mate up, it is my understanding that the 5254T2 has thinner cylinder walls than the standard 2.3 and it really doesn't hold up well with higher boost levels. The compression ratio goes from 8.5:1 to 9:1 between those two engines as I recall which exacerbates the cylinder wall weakness issue.
