2009 Volvo C70 pulling code P0112 IAT Sensor
Where is the IAT Sensor located, and how do i troubleshoot
The ODB shows -40 on sensor. We replaced the Turbo boost Sensor and the P0238 went away
2009 c70 P0112 IAT Sensor
Update and request for assistance
I purchased the volvo Diag interface and software Dice/Vida and and am able to communicate with the car .. The code is a P-0112 (ECM-131D) which is (IAT Sensor signal Low) When I go through the fault trace , Diagnostics and info it points me to the boost sensor located on the intercooler. I have replaced this part with genuine Volvo from dealer, removed and cleaned the contacts at the female connector and the fault remains. and the DTC on the ECM reads -40c for the IAT
When I research this model year, I can not find any reference to a separate IAT sensor in the parts catalog or in the Vida software. Online I see reference for temperature reference at the MAF and was at the dealer yesterday and they told me that I should replace the temp sensor on the Thermostat housing (Temperature Gauge Kit PN 30650752). in the Sweedishautoparts catalog, it lists this part as (S40 2004–2012 Coolant Temp Sensor IAT Turbo)
I'd like to think that I'm not an idiot but, The term Air intake would point me to something that involves Airflow not water. The Temp sensor on the thermostat housing would point me to water and that make little sense to me to replace.
Can someone please assist with a little more detail on how I can go about troubleshooting this issue, I really appreciate the assist.
