Well, that's basically it. I've changed the plugs with no succes. Should i be looking at the coil or the rotor??

Jaz, I had this on my 94 shortly after I bought it, and still had it even after doing the plugs, wires, etc. It wasn't a bad misfire, and went away with revs. Turns out it was a vacuum leak in the big accordian-type intake hose. I was moving it to the side to inspect others, and lo and behold, it was split in one of the "valleys" of the accordian. I think that with the increased vacuum of higher revs, the split would perhaps be pulled shut and the leak minimized or eliminated. I hope it's that simple for you as well. Also, check the plug wires for arcing. This can be made easier if done in the dark with the car idling. Makes it easier to see the spark.
Good luck!

Even little hoses with small holes cause problems with boost and idle in these cars...a large hose that is split even if it's in an "accordian" type fold will have a huge impact, especially if it's past the MAF in the main air-intake hose...which is the one I'm assuming you're talking about. If you're talking about the accordian plastic hose running from the ECU box to the front of the car (in front of the coolant expansion tank), this one wouldn't make a bit of difference. Air doesn't flow in from the front of the car with this hose, it flows out of it.
