98 V70XC Throttle Cable Loose

I don't know if this is normal or not, but where the throttle cable comes out of the firewall, it doesn't seem like it's attached to anything. I posted a video

Is this normal?? If not, how do I fix it?

It is not normal and the only good way to fix it is to replace the throttle cable. The cable comes with the firewall mount built into it. I would be afraid to try to glue it for fear that the throttle would hang up after the repair.

Is there an issue with leaving it as is? It doesn't seem to be causing any issues with use of the throttle, although it might explain the vibration I'm feeling in the gas pedal.

Over time crud will build up at the break and the cable will start to get stiff. Ultimately it could hang up which is, of course, a safety concern. So long as you don't panic you can slip the car into neutral and shut off the engine if it sticks. You loose power steering but that usually isn't a big deal.
