2001 V70 bent cross member.

I everyone,
I just purchased a 2001 V70 and look forward to the awesome information on this forum.
Previously we have had 4 Volvos in the family, including a 740 and 2 x v70 and most recently a XC70.

I normally drive VW's and still own a mk2 gti, however with a growing family the V70 is a great mover.

However, I have purchased this one with some existing issues that need to be delt with.

The first one, which I mention now is the Front Cross member.

The previously owner ran it into a curb in a car park, suspension all seems fine and actually is really just a dent, however it won't pass the rego inspection as is.

I'm fairly handy with a spanner so I'll be doing the exchange myself with some help from a friend and an engine support.

My question is - I have sourced a front cross member from an XC70 2.5 turbo.
Would this fit being as they are the same series car (P2), or do I need a specific cross member for a v70 ?

You mean front subframe correct?
I'm not sure, they probably are but if you can wait a day, I can find out for sure

Yes, the front subframe.
That would be great, I tried google but came up blank.
I did find this one for sale on ebay, which does state the models it is compatible with.

No worries, car is not going any where as I am on my way back from overseas.

Looking forward to seeing my car on Wednesday afternoon!
(I had my sister and dad buy the car for me which I spotted on ebay selling for a extremely cheap price)
