2004 V70 How to remove windshield weatherstripping??

How do i replace this strip above the windshield? It should be the same for S60 as well.
I ordered a new part from reference in VIDA, but there are no procedures or steps for R&R...

Does this thing wrap around the windshield glass, and need the glass pulled? Or am I just not yanking hard enough... This thing is about to break, I can't get it to come much further out without chipping away at it.
