Just picked up a 99 v70 base model. Changed the timing belt/water pump plus PCV stuff. Also replaced the crankshaft position sensor because of p0336 and p0335 codes.
Got everything back together and it started and ran smoothly, but I'm still getting a p0336 code. I erase them and occasionally get a CEL with no code... But usually get the p0336 back.
Another oddity is that the overhead map lights fade out and then get bright every 10 second or so. I also have abs and brake lights on but I figured I need to replace the abs module.
I could use advise on where to look next.
Thanks

Have the car read with Vida Dice as this system also has explanations/possible causes of errors.
Generic readers often report incorrectly on this newer series of car due to newer Canbus and Volvo proprietary codes. They are of almost no use to a '99 plus owner that has trouble sourcing the cause of trouble.
