Just bought the muffler for 96 850 sedan. Paid less than $190 for a Starla muffler using the link on MVS for EEuroparts.com 5% discount with MVS (arrived FAST - next day). Seems like a great price for the quality muffler. (commercial for MVS - thanks). Yesterday I jacked the car up and was able to get the old one out. When I tried this evening to put the New one in I had a very hard time and was unable. I think I jacked the car as high as I could without used extra boards / blocks etc. Is their a trick to getting the new muffler in? Is their a recommended jacking place for maximum height rear car height? Anyone else have difficulty with this job and can give advice it would be appreciated. Tomorrow I think I will try again and use extra jack stands and extra jacks and extra boards etc to get more height. I was thinking why did the old system come out so easy and the same piece only "new" won't fit back in???
DO I need to have car towed to a shop ... does it need to be done on a lift?

Careful getting extra height. You don't get the car dangerously high. If the old one came out you can get the new one in at the same height.
