Any thoughts on USA industry rebuilt axle for the passenger side of my car?
found them on FCP and saw 2 good reviews but wanted to hear other thoughts. Money is tight and wanted to see what other options i had other than EMPI and Raxles. Or should i save to get them done by raxles?
thanks!

I was in a pinch for an axle several Sundays ago and found a reman axle at O'Reilleys for 67.00. It was a Volvo reman and fit perfectly. No vibration. it was their least expensive axle called Master???? and it was in stock.
Have always used Raxles on Passat and Volvo, excellent quality product.

My luck with remans (Doorman, etc.) and even the new aftermarket axles has been hit or miss at best. More to the miss side. The one constant has been the rebuilt axles from Raxles.com. Never, ever, any kind of problem.
I replaced the axles on my Platinum with auto parts store rebuilts and it vibrated horribly. I then bought a new set of EMPI axles. The EMPI axles vibrate slightly less horribly but I have already spent more than I would have to buy Raxles in the first place so I just put up with it until I afford to replace them.
At least my kids benefited from my mistakes and I have used Raxles on their cars as their axles have needed to be replaced.

It's important to support people who run companies like this. The one constant has been the rebuilt axles from Raxles.com. Never, ever, any kind of problem.
It's even more important to have these guys around if we want to run 15 year cars and have good sources of parts. These are daily drivers...most of us don't have time to be doing axle jobs twice.

Be wary of trading in your OEM axles as cores, raxles won't even rebuild the cheap ones.

Below is is the Spidan (GKN original product) catalogue, Volvo 850, S/V70 CV joints are listed on pages 640-650:
http://www.gkn.com/landsystems/brands/g ... SPIDAN.pdf
ws = wheel side = OUTER CV Joint kit
gs = gear side = INNER CV Joint Kit
For 1993-1998 models that use the large 36-mm nut, it will be either:
- Spidan 20930 CV Joint Kit = SKF VKJA3035
- Spidan 20931 CV Joint Kit = SKF VKJA3033
These are for sales mostly in Europe, very difficult to buy these CV joints in the US.

Ok all not sure what to think. I'm getting the infamous clicking noise on my passenger side axle and don't think I can put it off any longer. On FCP I found this axle
http://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo-c ... nt-right-1
Does anyone have experience with these? They seem to be rebuilt OE but for significantly cheaper than raxles. I would love to use rales but not sure if I can swing the cost. I was thinking that if at least the ones on FCP were OE that if I needed to have them rebuilt later I could do that. Should I just pony up and save the money for raxles or is the ones on FCP not a bad choice?
