2007 volvo s60 fuel pump fuse blowing

Post by samcoffeeman »

Having an issue. My fuel pump fuse has blown twice recently during highway driving after fast acceleration. Any help? Do I need to replace fuel pump/fuel filter?

Fuel filter: Yes, replace it, if you have an external FF (though it is one on the famous list of 'lifetime' items including components and fluids according to Volvo)

A fuse blowing in fast acceleration could be due to a pinched wire somewhere (just a thought) - I would inspect the wiring and even swap the Fuel Pump Relay first. The pump is a bit expensive to condemn
Example of Precision: Measure with a Micrometer, mark it with Chalk, and then cut it with an Axe.
Disclaimer: We (very) seldom do that
