2001 x/c 70 intermitant blue smoke

Hello Everyone; I have a 2001 X/C 70 230,000 miles. the car is putting out blue smoke, Burning OIl, at stop lights & stop signs. once you move down the road smoke goes away until you stop again. I have no excess pressure from dip stick or oil filler cap as suggested with PCV issues. I see mixed answers on this forum. can anyone point me in the correct direction. The car is running great as always but I'm afraid this issue may lead to bigger ones if I don't correct it.

Please read entire post. The OP had an extreme problem but was remedied. My car has 246K and have not had the smoke problem for sometime. Like yours smoke during start up and from stop to smoke in the morning to none.
