98 S70 Replaced steering rack and ps pump now whines

I just finished replacing my steering rack among other things. I just started it up and the power steering pump whines - ugh. I flushed the system also. The fluid I used is Mobil ATF D/M. The old rack leaked a long time so i suspect the pump is not able to build up pressure. Any thoughts on this?

It will fix itself as air settles to top of reservoir from driving and then parking it with engine off.

In all likelihood it will be substantially better in the AM.

If the fluid is pink and frothy, yep, just wait until morning.
