91 940 SE skipped, sputtered and died

Yesterday I noticed a slight skip while in idle. Later that afternoon it began sputtering while accelerating before dying completely while driving. Car will not turn over now. Spark plug wires? Alternator? Any ideas? Auto shops are closed today...
