95 850 t5 2.0 liter with R ecu??

Post by kaneelschep »

Hi there.

Lately I have been reading a lot about swapping out the standard ecu in a t5 for an t-5R one.
Since I have the 2 litre version of the end 95, 850 T5 estate, Instead of the 2.3, I am not sure if this will work.
And I just cant seem to find any discussion anywhere if this is ever done/tried.
Does anyone know?

Thanks!

I seriously doubt it would run right - the A/F trims would be all off. The R and T5 use the same engine, just different programming and exhaust manifold.

There are probably aftermarket tunes available for the 2.0 liter engine that would bring you more power than a stock ECU swap anyway.
