98 S70 Trickle Charge a New Battery

I bought a new battery for my car and will not be able to install it for at least 2 months. Is there any reason I should put this battery on a trickle charge or will it be fine just sitting waiting for me to get to it? Brand new, AZ battery that appeared to be on the shelf for quite a while anyway.

A battery can sit on the shelf at a vendors for months so leaving yours for a couple shouldn't harm it, the case is clean so no issue with parasitic case drain and the plates will be straight not shorting out just keep it somewhere away from extremes of temperature - Mike

Perfect. On the work bench in the back of the garage. Should hold till I'm ready.

Not sure I wouldn't trickle charge it for a day or so immediately before you're going to install it in the vehicle just for good measure.
