2000 S40 Windshield wipers won't run on setting one

I recently had my key cylinder replaced and a new key made. A few days later when it rained I found out that my wipers only worked on the second and third settings. My question is simple, what are my options? Do I just live with it or is it a fairly simple fix? Thank you for your time.

Suggest you try accessing the indicator stalk switch and check the connections are firm and all attached.
They are very prone to dust and dirt in the contacts so may simply need a clean.
Alternatively you may find a replacement stalk unit at a junkyard for your model in good condition.
