will this wheel fit an 850

Post by johnnyfd »

Someone on craigslist is selling these wheels . They said they are 6.5 X 16 , 5 X 108 and maybe fit Volvos . When I went to check the specs online all I could find were European listings and the numbers didn't match for a Volvo 850 in center bore or lug hole configuration . The measurement for offset was et 50 which is close to the standards for this car which is at 43 . Does anyone know about this wheel and if it was ever sold in this country . If so maybe the measurements are different than what I found on the European websites . I believe the model number is KBA 46921

Looking at the specs the 5 x 108 is correct, and the 6.5" width is correct as well. Take a look at this link from IPD. It gives all the details and explains the offset. That would be my only concern. Good Luck.

This wheel would slightly decrease track which is the distance between the centres of wheels on the same axle. A 14mm decrease may make the vehicle a little more nervous at high speed.

Is if anyone has ever seen it listed or owned in this country so that I could find out the specs for certain because the only place I found it listed was on a European website and I don't know if the specs are the same or if they were correct . The owner told me they were are 5 X 108 but the European website I found them on said they are 5 by 112 . I need to find out what the real specs are for this wheel and I don't know if I can rely on that European website to know for certain . Also according to the European website the center bore of the wheel is not big enough for an 850 .

Have you asked the seller to check the rear of the rim? Some manufacturers stamp the info into the rear of the hub or the legs. Most of the Volvo rims (I know this is aftermarket) have this info on the rear.
