I am hoping someone can steer me in the right direction. I have an '03 V70 base with 210k. The driver's side seat belt stopped retracting yesterday.
I understand there are no serviceable parts on the seat belt. What I am confused about is replacing it with a used one. I have found conflicting information about using a used one and whether it will work or set off the srs code.
I see them on ebay for around $100. In CT we have plenty of salvage yards full of Volvo parts.
Can I replace it with one from a loaner car that has not been in an accident?
Will it require reprogramming from the dealer?
I know the car is not worth much with 210k but it runs excellent and just did my second timing belt at 206k.
Thanks in advance for your input.
