I have replaced my old tranny with a new one (used of course) and the problem is that it randomly goes into "limp mode" (3rd gear stuck - usually when driving around 60mph).

The tranny is from 2004. I read that there are some significant changes between the '01 and '04 and that's why my computer doesn't work with this one.
Question: Can I get a transsmision computer from 2004 and put it in my S80? Will this work?
The whole transmission was rebuild and all sensors have been checked, so I assume it is not a mechanical issue. Just some kind of incompatibility.
