New to the forum, and new to volvo. I recently bought a 2007 xc90 V8, now the tranny slip between second and third gear, got 127000miles on it, pull out code TCM-P089600 "shift time too long" with the scanner, some say to just flush or replace the valve body, other suggest a full tranny rebuilt.
Have someone ever had experience this before? as I read on the net this is common on these tranny. Need some advice.
regards

There is no filter.
Do two drain and fills. Drain what comes out through drain plug and then refill that 3 1/2 to 4 quarts. Then drive it a few days and do that again. IF there is noticeable improvement then valve body is a good gamble. No improvement is bad news.
