Well....my volvo only run cooling fan when the engine arrive at 105 Celsius degrees.....then run..and take down to 96celsius degrees....
Also..When I put the Ac....run slowly...and take down temperature to 88celsius degrees..
All dates whith elm 327 bluetooth and torque app...

If your engine is the 2.4 non turbo, the thermostat starts opening at 91C and is fully open at about 95C.
So it seems fair the fan brings it down to about 95C.
As for the A/C, mine does the same, the fan runs at low speed when the A/C kicks in.

What you have described above is basically the same as what occurs with my 2002 V40.
It occurs consistently whenever the temperature reaches about 102-103 degrees C.
Say in slow city traffic, stationery idling or hill climbing situations only.
I believe this all to be perfectly normal and the factory temperature gauge never rises above the normal mid range either although those gauges are known to be non sensitive units and move to the Red when there is an urgent problem.
I do also have an 'Ultragauge' installed so I am getting constant and accurate, instant engine temperature readings.

That is exactly as designed and engineered.
You may not like 105C but it is the industry standard these days. The programming in ECM is pretty smart. Idling is low load and also creates less heat. Letting the cooling system get warm to boil away unwanted fuel dilutes like gasoline from cold starts as well as condensation (water) created from cold starts in cooler temps. When a/c compressor is running enough to trigger fan the ambient temps will be higher and the fuel dilutes will be low and the engine temp will be lower. This is a win/win.
Keep in mind that 105C exiting the head going back to radiator does not mean the engine is 105C throughout.

Well, the air in the engine condensates and you'll have some water in the intake and also the oil. That's not good for engine lubrication nor combustion because may increase wear. So you want to get rid of water asap. So the car computer is purposely programmed to run a little above the water boiling point to vaporize water and get it out. Hence your 105 deg C.

Doesn't the 50/50 mix of anti freeze with water also actually raise the boiling point a bit above the normal 100 degrees C applicable for just water itself ?
