My Volvo Dealership informed me that the "spring plates" on my V70 were broken. The service center described them as going over the shocks, but my research indicates that the plates may actually be located behind the tires. Can someone confirm just where the Spring Plates are located?
FCPEuro and IDP do not have this part in their search engine. Possibly known under different name?

It's called a Spring SEAT, that is the round part you see on the top of the strut
They break oh, every 50-75K miles or thereabouts, depending on the roads
Strut has to come out to attach it
