2006 S40 2.4i Airbag warning light

Post by delacrae »

Hi!

On 7 October 2005 I received delivery of our newly purchased Volvo S40 2.4i which is for my wife. In December, we noticed that the seat belts locked her in place and the Passenger Airbag warning light was telling us that the airbag was deactivated even though our 13 yr old son was sitting in it. I brought it to the shop and the result was that they replaced the belt and told us that they did not find any errors as it pertain to the airbag. I have an American Spec Car and live in Germany so I am wondering if their computer that they hooked it up to needs an update? Can anyone help me because it is still happening?

Thanx

Eric,

Can't help you with the question, but wondered how you like the car in Germany. Did you get the performance suspension? Does it perform well at autobahn speeds. Also wondered if you picked it up in Sweden and how that went. I live in Europe too and need a small car with a little room for trips, so am considering the V50. Thanks.

Marco
