'01 XC sourcing new coolant reservoir?

Post by benrk »

Hi,

I'm just putting an order for a few parts together, coolant reservoir being one of it, I'm a little confused about the (in-)availability, fcp doesn't list one, ipd lists oe & aftermarket & doesn't carry stock of either, rockauto only lists üro, is this not a common part, I thought I'd read it was becoming a more common thing given the age these cars are turning?
Anybody got experiences with the üro reservoir, is it worth buying or the same garbage as most other üro parts?

Quick background: I'm in Canada & shipping to parcel service on US side of border, about a 3hr roundtrip to pick up, so registering for backorder & have ipd ship it when they receive stock in 2months or so is not worth the trip.

Thx, Ben

Most of my parts small enough to not cost a fortune in shipping come by Ebay from the States. There are plenty of good used Volvo parts and some car breakers sell them for not much. I think you can get one for less than $100 shipped including all border fees (lately, the US Ebay uses a special shipping program to Canada that shows from the start all the fees including douanes and staff)
