I was replacing the bulbs in my radio today and noticed that the previous owner has made an adapter cable that plugs into the back of the radio where is says "CD" (it looks like an s-video connector). On the other end was a 3.5mm jack so you can plug it into your phone or iPod.
It sort of worked but the wiring was done poorly. It looked like a 1st grader did it. It looks like the previous owner made the adapter with $5 of parts from RadioShack and an excessive amount of hot glue and electrical tape. It has a little plastic box with an assortment of resistors and other little parts soldered together.
I checked online and saw some adapters for like $70! Is there a cheaper adapter out there, or a DIY on how to make one?
