I have completed a timing belt replacement and I used the rear cam lock tool to stabilize the cams. The cams are aligned to sprocket timing marks and I have the rotor positioned at cylinder 1. On the intake cam the part number is on the bottom, the exhaust cam the part number is on the top.
I need help on the cam shaft position sensor wheel orientation. It can be installed one of two ways.
thank you

If you did seal then tool was required.
The CPS reluctor will only lay flat on camshaft end when fitted properly. It will sort of fit 180 off but the bolt will not start without some difficulty.
If you look at reluctor and end of cam you can match the offset notches to the offset slot on cam.
