We just bought a 1986 740 wagon. The first time we tried to open the manual sunroof the whole thing popped up in the air and threatened to blow away. It looks like the hardware holding it in place is rusty and it busted.
I don't need to replace the roof, just the hardware. Or even just wire the damn thing shut. Any advice? I found a roof on eBay but ours is fine. However, would a replacement roof have what I need to swap it out?
