Getting ready to replace rear struts in my 2000 s40.
Do I need to use a spring compressor or are these small enough to push down by hand.
2000 S40 Rear strut question.

I could be wrong but these are design to hold read end of your car plus cargo, I don't think there are strut springs small enough to be pushed down by hand in any vehicle,
Autozone rent spring compressors why not get it before doing the job if you end up not needing them just return it comparing to taking it apart and finding another ride to go get them in case you will need them
