98 v70 irradic shifts and low power

Post by wuttheheeck »

Im having some problems with my transmission shifting frequently when ascending hills and it feels I have a general loss of power. I will be flooring it and barely maintaining speed. I think my first step is to change tranny fluid and filter, any other possible causes or things to look for?

Thank you greatly
Ryan

Check your tranny fluid level.

Probably not tranmission related. Sounds more like a loss of engine power.
When were ignition components last replaced.......(rotor, leads, cap) It's a good place to start.

This is what my car felt like when my transmission fluid leaked out at the radiator (airbox side/driver side). Check tran fluid with car running; both side of dipstick. Easy place to start
