2000 S70 Bit for screws on Idle Control Valve

Post by Brucebo »

I was about the remove the Idle control valve (p/n 1275634) on my S70 when I noticed the screws had some strange bit recess. It's not Torx and it's not Allen. It seems like a cross between the two. Sort of a 5-point "torx" instead of a 6. Anybody know what size this is and what it's called before I try to go out and buy one?

Update

Nevermind. Those were intracomponent screws. The "real" screws were standard hex bolts underneath a shroud.

Are you sure you're talking about the iacv? I don't think the ETM cars have an iacv.

It's this part, https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo-idle-control-valve-s70-v70-1275634 . It goes on the air hose between the ETM and the air filter box and connects to a hose that Ts off to the manifold.

That's odd, now I have to go look at mine, lol. I could swear the ETM cars didn't have an IACV.
