1998 v70, Caliper Bolt Locations

Hello,

In the picture attached, is it true that the two bolts circled in Yellow are the two bolts to remove in order to get the caliper off for say a rotor replacement?

Also, is the thing circled in Blue the (covered) brake bleeder valve (ie turn it and the brake fluid comes out for bleeding the brake) ?

Also, is that the brake line tube i see near the top of the picture where it comes down and close to the top left yellow circled bolt head? It looks solid. It doesnt hurt to bend that slightly?

I wanted to make sure i have an idea what is going on with that caliper before i start anything.

I did forget to ask one more question though, do they usually use 'Lock Tite" for the threads on those bolts, or do they lubricate them a little, or none of the above?

Thanks again, and i think we might meet one of these days (talking to Steve) as i am in NJ too, more Central, border of Bound Brook and Middlesex.

In my experience, a dab of red loctite is usually found on the bolts. A brake job is how I got started working on Volvos many years ago. I was a little intimidated to tell the truth, but I read everything I could on here and eventually just dove in. It is not that bad and if I could do it, you certainly can too. Sorry to have missed you yesterday. Hope you're feeling better.
