Guys I have a "spare" AW50-52LE transmission in my garage. Needs to go. Would like to pull it apart for parts before I scrap it. It had issues shifting and I think it was the pump, either that or a solenoid.
Have heard about this "PNP switch", not sure where it is, but would like to have a spare. Also maybe some shift solenoids since I can Ohm them out to test. Anything else I could save off of it?

Pnp switch is in a center console in a cabin not on transmission itself.

PNP is mounted to the top of the transmission where the shift linkage connects. https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums ... =1&t=29930
All depends on how much stuff you want to have around for a just in case, what do you plan on doing with the car is it a daily driver, or a thrash machine? For a daily, basic easy to remove items are all I would keep so bolts and solenoids, but if you are going to thrash: valve bodies, covers, differential or the spider gears, anything hard wearing wouldn't keep friction material in a transmission with a bad pump. I have a spare sitting in my garage too because I like to get stupid with it and I tow trailers with it.

Thanks for the link I got the PNP, solenoids, and the lines as last time I looked they were around $150! It's my DD but I don't abuse it. Tried to pull all the components off and recycle the aluminum but couldn't get it quite 100% down to aluminum. Oh well it was neat looking inside, pulled a gear off that I might make into a lamp later onAcknar wrote:PNP is mounted to the top of the transmission where the shift linkage connects. https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums ... =1&t=29930
