My 1999 2.0T S80 has a slow accelerator response (almost 2 seconds).
Sometimes it responds almost instantly but most times there is a lot of lag time
between when I step on the pedal and when it revs. This car has very low mileage,
24,000 miles, since the first owner barely used it and I bought it off him last
November.
I just sold a 2004 2.0T S80 and I never experienced throttle lag in that car. I'm
guessing it could be the notorious TPS on the throttle module that needs to be
changed to the contactless one but I'm not sure if the mass air flow sensor could be
the cause of this too.
Does anyone know what could cause this and what I should do?
Thanks in advance,
Judesh

I'd start by testing output signal of pedal sensor. A comment here, if output is voltage a voltmeter across is fine, but if output is some PWM signal then you'll need a duty cycle meter. PWM is for pulse width modulation. If pedal sensor responds well then next is the throttle body. Any codes?
