Weird problem on my s70 t5 manual. The reverse lights were not working, so I replaced the reverse light switch and they worked for a bit but now are intermittent. I can sometimes get the lights to turn on, or when I put it in reverse they will come on after reversing for a bit. Sometimes they wont come on at all.
I thing there might be something to do with aligning the switch or maybe something under the shifter that needs adjustment.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

Most likely. Unlike an auto I don't believe the Volvo manual has any electrical switch at the gear shift lever, it is down on the transmission. The switches are very reliable. Old wiring isn't.
Get out the old voltmeter and get dirty.
