1989 Volvo 245 DL tailight assembly deteriorating

The tail light assemblies on my 1989 Volvo 245 DL were deteriorating to the point where my dashboard "light out" was activating. Finding a good used OEM unit was nearly impossible but I did find a great URO repro unit through FCP that came with gasket and fit perfectly. It was very reasonably priced as well. Problem solved, I think that I will replace the other side soon.

don't forget about local junkyard. Chances are they might have somethign you may need. The only one I go to in Chicago is at 4555 W North Ave, Chicago, IL 60639 .(800) 962-2277. its a good one in my opinion. They charge 2$ to get in I think.

mika, thank you for your response. The quality of the URO unit purchased through FCP exceeded my expectations. Older ones that I have found, if any, are weathered to the point of uselessness. I am grateful not to have the warning light come on every time I hit the brakes. Thanks! RF

URO sounds good! I was mentioning the junkyard for other stuff, you never know what that 240 will need, plus prices are nominal (screws, relays, bulbs) or something big like a bumper or a door ya know
