Loose Dashboard

Post by dalmo »

Hello all, 1997 850 T5.....whenever I hit a bump or pothole, my whole dashboard shakes like crazy. It is obviuosly loose, how do I fix this problem.

Thank you

It might not be the dash. That is what I originally thought and it turned out to be the glovebox. Try driving with the glovebox open and see if the problem continues. If it does, then it probably is the dash and some screws are loose.

The dash is held in place with bolts that are accessed under the wiper cowel. If over tightened they will break the tabs that are part of the dash.
