1998 S70 Shifter loose

I have an automatic '98 S70 GLT and the shifter is "loose" so to speak. It goes into all positions, and locks. However getting into all but "park" and "low" (the first and last positions) is kind of odd. It just seems as if the gear selection is loose. I read that there are clips that can break in the shifter that can be replaced, but I wanted to make sure I don't need to check for other issues.

Is this common on this model/year model and has anyone else has these issues? If anything is unclear, I can always post a video.

I'm having the same problem. It feels really rough when shifting into and out of park... It's not smooth and transitional like it should be, but rather quick and jerky. I'll be watching this thread to see what the solution is. Hopefully one of the more experienced guys comments on this post.
