Hi all,
I am having an issue with a siren not sounding when alarm is set off. All other components operate normally. Should I just go ahead and try to replace it or there are some other diagnostics to run before shelling out $300.00 plus?
Thanks in advance.

Given it's a 2006, there is a chance only the battery inside the siren is toasted. I'd try removing the module, split it open, clean the circuit board and install a new battery if the board is not yet melted. The other option is to just disconnect the module and leave the car without alarm.

It is a battery. Doomed to failed design (battery leaks electrolyte over electronics). Don't buy used, they all suffer the same problem. Either new siren, or repair your own (~$12 for a new battery plus some work).

Siren is much easier to get to through headlight. Bumper needs to come off.
