Please help: How to remove, install front blinker assembly

Hi everyone,

I hit an animal on the freeway one very late night (i feel bad still), and the front blinker assembly on the left side was totally ripped out from my 1985 Volvo 240 DL (the only thing keeping it attached to the car are the wires; the whole thing dangles now).

I went to the junkyard and got the whole blinker assembly from another 1985 240dl. It took me a long time to get that thing off.

I am wondering if anyone knows of an easy way to remove the old part from my car and intall the new one.

I would recommend picking up a copy of a Hayne's manual for your car. Those things include everything you need to know on blinker assembly and everything else.

I have a Haynes manual in front of me and the only information given on the front blinker is how to remove the lens and replace the bulb. It does not give any help on removing the complete unit.

Unfortunately, it is a long time since I owned a 240 and I cannot remember how to do this job.
