96 850 T5 Rear O2 Sensor missing?

Post by volkans80 »

Hi,

I just realized today my 1996 850 T5 does not have a rear O2 sensor. Also there is not a hole for rear o2 sensor on exhaust pipe. Is it possible?

Thanks,

Yes it is.
It depends which engine management & emission control your car have.It is also depandable from market to market.
Being a T5 from '96 it should have Motronic 4.3.

One thing less to worry about. ;)
I must admit that it's strange for '96 model...but it's certainly possible.

Set yourself up to flash the ECU, you can turn the rear one off with a click of the mouse.

Cost doesn't outweigh the benefit. Unless I'm over thinking of all the items I'd need to make it happen?
