1995 855T seat memory inop

Gentlemen,
I read the other posts to no avail. The memory function suddenly failed for the passenger seat. I replaced the black box under the seat with one from a 1998 seat, no go. I replaced the switch panel with one from a 1996 850, also nada. I can hear a click, but nothing happens.

I have tried reading the codes and all I get is a 1-1-1. Yes, I am quite familiar with the memory setting routine. I was hoping that installing the 'new' control box under the seat would give me the 'old' memories, but that didn't happen either.

I am up for suggestions. The 'click' my old ears hear seems to be coming from under the seat.

BTW, I put a 1998 driver's seat in my 850. All I did was swap the outside seat rail so the 850 seatbelt would still work. 15 minutes, not counting pulling seat and putting it back in.
