03 S60 T5 5 speed manual
I just recently purchased my first Volvo. Does anyone have a similar model? Can anyone give me any advice for owning this model or a volvo in general? Thus far I've owned my s60 t5 for a little less than a month, and I absolutely love it. Drives great, and for someone who's last car was a free dodge intrepid, this is a nice upgrade that I would like to keep in great shape. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!!

With the manual clutch, slave cylinder failure is common and very costly as the transmission has to come out. Usually the flywheel fails along because of fluid spill, and can be replaced with a single mass unit. It happens pretty suddenly, after the seal would leak brake fluid for a while.

I bought the car from a friend who had it from about 60k. I'm pretty sure he already had an issue with the slave cylinder and had it repaired around 75k miles.
Of course, just my luck. Drivers side window is broken. I went to roll it down this morning before leaving. I heard a pop and now the window is off track. Is this typically an easy fix? Does anyone know what parts/tools I'll need?

Might be a broken slider, but not sure http://forums.swedespeed.com/showthread.php?132026
In freezing mornings, I like pushing each glass at the bottom from outside to break if free from the rubber trim, this way the mechanism won't force when lowering the window.

Thanks for the advice. I'll look into it. From what I've read on my own already, this seems to be the issue. The front of the window dives inside of the door. You think I should get the parts from a dealer? Or just order off the internet?oragex wrote:Might be a broken slider, but not sure http://forums.swedespeed.com/showthread.php?132026
