Leather shift boot for S80 T6 with manual shift

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

Leather shift boot for S80 T6 with manual shift

Post by Legofan »

I'm trying to find a supplier of the leather boot other than the crap on eBay. I made the mistake of buying one from eBay and it was too small for the shifter I have.

Any advice on where to find one would be great! Thanks.

The Volvo Dealer parts department. Mine just developed cracking and I ordered a new one today at my parts counter. I read your post and assumed Volvo had discontinued the replacement. It's like $90 but who cares as it should last another 14 years like the original being a Volvo part. June

My shifter boot came in today. It was only like $75.00 and it is from my dealership. Notice they could have charged me $95.00. I'm not sure what the cheap knock off from ebay cost, but to have the Volvo part that looks exactly like the original is worth the $75.00. You might be able to use the part number and find it at one of the parts suppliers MVS supports. June

P.S.
I Am Pleased With Volvo For Supporting Old Cars Like mine. The old sales pitch of how many years after car payments on a Volvo end you can still enjoy driving your car. One major part of that is continuing the support of parts for that car. I'd say not many companies sell interior trim parts for a 14 year old car. As of yet I have never been told we can't get the part anymore. I can tell you Buick only supports their cars for 7 years for all parts then used is your only option. I read so many complaints about Volvo parts on here and always think did that person actually go to the dealership and ask if the part was available, or just assume it's not.

Ah, thanks for the reply. I sold off my extremely unreliable S80 last year. Couldn't be happier.

Good luck
