2004 v70 non-turbo automatic
Can anyone direct me to a write up on replacing the radiator. I have Googled and read every write up I can find. All vary from mine in material ways. For instance, mine has a "shroud" between the condenser and the radiator. I have been working or three days (poor conditions) about 2-3 hours a day. That is before utter frustration sets in. I have gotten the old radiator out, and am trying to gt new one in. The problem seems to be the shroud (and not enough hands). Any help appreciated.. (I am trying to replace it from the bottom). I have been at this so long I cannot remember the direction the "shroud" faces.

I'm not sure if this would help you but look near the bottom of this page: http://forums.swedespeed.com/showthread ... 70-for-400
If you need extra hands, I would try some type of rope around the radiator to hold it in place as you muscle it up.

I finally got it in. as you suggest, I did enlist aid from a friend to align the top, while I pushed up. My main problem was the "shroud" which separates the a/c condenser and the radiator. I failed to take pictures before disassembly and couldn't find an illustration. I am not entirely sure I got it right. I have two bolts left over. The radiator seems to "stand off" from the condenser more than it should.Come warmer weather I may retry it. Used an aftermarket radiator, that may be part of the problem.

I made the same mistake on my 99 but luckily had rust lines to guide me back
