1995 850 coolant loss

1995 850 coolant loss

I have a 1995 850 and I have constantly add coolant. I have no noticable leaks, cars runs perfectly and is not running hot. Any Ideas?

Pressure test the system, or have a shop do it for you. Check the spots the previous poster mentioned while under pressure. Your leak will show up somewhere. Replacement of the cooling system reservoir cap will stop steam loss through the cap (they fail after a while), but this is seldom a very substantial loss. How frequently and what quantity of coolant are you using to top up?

Check the waterpump. When I bought my car it had a slight weep. Then it started to leave a puddle every odd time I parked the car. It will be from the right side of the engine. I had to change my T-Belt so I did the waterpump and T-Belt at the same time.

Thank you for your input.

It ended up being the radiator! We couldn't see any leaks until we took it to the mechanic. He noticed the leak immediately.
