Had to get to the rear of the aftermarket reciever, so, I had to remove
the pen holder strip then the HVAC control panel (Climate Control Panel).
When I was done, I just left the panel in with the top hooked on and the
buttom hanging without pushing it inside the space; will be going back
to the receiver latter.
I did not unplug the battery before unplugging and plugging back the three
connections on the back of the panel. This morining, when I drove the car,
it had the message "SRS-AIRBAG SERVICE URGENT".
Would there be any relationship with not disconnecting the battery before
unplugging and plugging back the connectors on the back of the HVAC panel?
Or just a coincidence?
Thanks.

One thing I've learned with these Volvo's, always disconnect the battery before disconnecting anything electrical. I would have expected an HVAC code rather than a SRS warning, but I think it is related with you not disconnecting the battery.
Just my opinion based on experience with my 2001 V70.

You didn't disconnect the battery and that triggered the code.
You can reset it with VIDA or bring it to a shop or the dealer. I did the same thing but had VIDA so I just reset it.
Yes - there is a relationship - hopefully you have VIDA or it may cost you $150 at the dealer.

SRS light if the CCM is unplugged with the battery connected is a known thing on P2s.
I would guess it disturbs network communication between the SRS module -> CEM seeing as the SRS module is physically between the two on the network, unplugging the CCM disturbs the termination resistance on that end. Once the fault is triggered you need a vida to reset/turn off the SRS warning indicator light.

Well, I've learned. Will not happen next time (I hope). Maybe I would be careless since I now know I can easily clear the code. Yep, got the SRS error code cleared.
I really appreciate all the pointers from you all and will heed to all your pointers. Thank you all. Well appreciated.
